December 2005 Prayer List

Month: December 2005
Please pray for the following needs of St. Matthew Church.

Pray for:
* During this season of advent, prepare our hearts to receive our Savior Jesus.
* For the St. Matthew's committees and outreach ministries specifically:
Welcoming Committee - May their gift of hospitality and warmth encourage our new members.
* Armed Forces – may God’s protection surround our troops, especially the men and women serving from St. Matthew. May God strengthen their families.
* St. Matthew’s two, five and 10 year planning – may the Holy Spirit direct our future.
* Church finances especially the $200,000+ debt. We ask that God work miraculously.
* Sometimes, the holidays are a time of excess, may we practice the gift of self-control.
* For our parishioners who have loss loved ones this year. May the Holy Spirit fill them with wonderful memories and love.
* Father Jerry for his spiritual leadership and guidance. May God grant him the patience to serve our parish.* Priests of the Archdiocese and the Topeka region.

Prayer of Renewal:
Savior Jesus, come into my heart. Through me, show everyone the brightness of your love.
Renew my spirit when I am weary. Increase my faith, my hope and my charity. Help me to believe mightily, hope joyfully and love divinely. AMEN.
