March 2006 Prayer List

Month - March 2006:
Please pray for the following needs of St. Matthew Church.

March’s scripture verse:
Colossians 3:14 "And above all these put on love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony."

Pray for:
* Time and Talent response. May the Holy Spirit stir church involvement within the St. Matthew community.
* For the St. Matthew’s committees and outreach ministries specifically:
Peace and Justice Committee
* Armed Forces – may God’s protection surround our troops, especially the men and women serving from St. Matthew. May God strengthen their families.
* St. Matthew’s two, five and 10 year planning. May the Holy Spirit direct our future.
* Church finances especially the $200,000+ debt. We ask that God provide miraculously
* May we bind ourselves to Christ and to the teaching of the Church. May we teach others through our daily walk.
* Father Jerry for his spiritual leadership and guidance. May God grant him the strength to serve our parish. We also lift us the priests of the Archdiocese and the Topeka region.

Prayer of St. Patrick:
I bind to myself to-day
God's power to guide me,
God's Might to uphold me,
God's Wisdom to teach me,
God's Eye to watch over me,
God's Ear to hear me,
God's Word to give me speech,
God's Hand to guide me,
God's Way to lie before me,
God's Shield to shelter me,
God's Host to secure me,
Against the snares of demons,
Against the seduction of vices,
Against the lust of nature,
Against everyone who meditates injury to me,
Whether far or near,
Whether few or with many.
