July 2006 Prayer List
Month - July 2006:
Please pray for the following needs of St. Matthew Church.
July’s scripture verse: As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. – Ephesians 4
July New Requests:
• For the St. Matthew’s committees and outreach ministries specifically: - SCRIPS – May St. Matthew’s members use this program to fund church programs.
• Peace, harmony and forgiveness within our faith community.
• Thank God for his blessings and favor during the St. Matthew’s Car Show and during all the St. Matthew’s activities.
• Bring faithful and loving teachers to the preschool, and a youth ministry leader.
July Existing Requests:
• Armed Forces – may God’s protection surround our troops, especially the men and women serving from St. Matthew. May God strengthen their families.
• St. Matthew’s two, five and 10 year planning. May the Holy Spirit direct our future.
• For an increase in stewardship in our parish, that more people will give of their time, treasure and talents for the good of our community.
• We thank God for providing money for debt reduction. We ask that He grant us continued favor for the remaining $200,000.
• Father Jerry for his spiritual leadership and guidance. May God grant him the strength to serve our parish. We also lift us the priests of the Archdiocese and the Topeka region.
A Prayer That We Might Be Filled With Love And All The Fullness Of God - Ephesians 3:14-21
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named …
that He would grant His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height--to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge;
that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
